If the impression is a fixture level impression (direct or
indirect), attach
implant analogs according to impression technique. Work up model
(Tutorial). |
 |
1a. |
If the impression is over already installed attachment abutments
press corresponding attachment analogs in to impression and pour a stone model without
soft tissue moulage. |
 |
1b. |
Choose attachment abutments (Locator®
Tutorial, ball abutment a.o.)
with appropriate collar height according to the tissue height above the
implant. The attachment portion of the abutment should be slightly above
the tissue so the housing once attached does not impinge on the tissue. Connect attachment housings to attachment abutments or attachment
analogs. |
 |
2. |
Block out undercuts on model and adapt light cure base plate
material (Triad® by Dentsply Trubyte) to the model, incorporating the attachment
housings. Build up wax rim to base plate and send to doctors office for
VOD. |
 |
3. |
Mount models and set teeth in wax on base plate. Send for try in and
bite record with wax set up in situ. |
 |
4. |
Remount and reset teeth if necessary. Prepare reinforcement
substructure if needed. |
 |
5. |
Invest wax up in flask, boil out wax and add retention to acrylic
teeth. |
 |
6. |
Apply separator and pack or inject acrylic (Lucitone 199®
by Dentsply Trubyte,
SR Ivocap by Ivoclar) into the flask. Cure according to acrylic
manufacturer guidelines. |
 |
7. |
Break out processed denture and model. Mount the processed denture and adjust occlusal as
needed. |
 |
8. |
Finish and polish denture. |
