Camlog and Conelog® IMPLANTS
Camlog
Fig. 1
Camlog implants are made of
grade 4 titanium with a internal
indexing feature (Tube-in-Tube). The indexing feature (Fig.1) consists of
three spurs (cams) interlocking with corresponding receptacles inside the
implant. This interlocking spur configuration has been changed once since
the inception of the Camlog system. The newly configured
implant/abutment interface denoted through "K" article numbers is
compatible with the older "J" article number prosthetic componets but old
"J" article number prosthetic components are not compatible with the new
"K" article number implants. Camlog implants are distributed in the
USA through Henry Schein®.
Fig. 2
Screw-Line implants are machined with a slightly tapered body geometry,
outside thread pattern and a Promote® surface treatment. The
Promote® surface is achieved through particle blasting and followed by
acid etching. Implants are available with a 0.4mm (Fig.2, left) and a 1.4mm (Fig.2, right) machined
collar. A progressively deeper cutting surface extends about two thirds of
the implant from the apical toward the implant/abutment interface with the
more aggressive portion at the apical of the implant.
Fig. 3
Five implant platform diameters (Fig.3, implant/abutment interface diameter) of
3.3, 3.8, 4.3, 5.0, 6.0mm
in four lengths of 9, 11, 13 and 16mm are produced for this implant
system with the exception of 3.3mm diameter implants which are not available
as a 9mm length implant. Each platform diameter is color coded for platform
diameter identification gray (3.3), yellow (3.8), red (4.3), blue (5.0) and
green (6.0). Although the implants themselves are not color coded, only the
implant packaging. Implants are packaged with a pre installed fixture mount
and cover screw, both color coded.
Fig. 4
ROOT-LINE implants (Fig.4) are machined with a diminishing screw depth pattern
toward the apical of the implant and the body geometry is designed with a
taper towards the apical from the mid point of the implant length. The
surface roughening consists of the Promote® surface and is achieved
through particle blasting and acid etching. A 2mm machined collar separates
the Promote® surface treated area from the implant/abutment interface.
Five implant platform diameters (implant/abutment interface diameter) of
3.3, 3.8, 4.3, 5.0, 6.0mm in four lengths of 9, 11, 13 and 16mm are
produced for this implant system with the exception of 3.3mm diameter
implants which are not available as a 9mm length implant. Each platform
diameter is color coded for platform diameter identification gray (3.3),
yellow (3.8), red (4.3), blue (5.0) and green (6.0). Although the implants
themselves are not color coded, only the implant packaging. Implants are
packaged with a pre installed fixture mount and cover screw, both color
coded.
Fig. 5
SCREW-CYLINDER-LINE implants (Fig.5, left) are machined with a parallel body geometry
and a few threads at the top third of the implant. The
surface is treated
through the Promote® roughening process and a machined collar of 2mm
separates the surface treated area from the implant/abutment area..
CYLINDER-LINE implants (Fig.5, right) are machined with a parallel body geometry
and no outside thread pattern on the implant body. The surface is treated
with a titanium plasma spray (TPS) and a machined collar of 2mm separates
the surface treated area from the implant/abutment area.
Conelog®
Fig. 6
The Conelog® implant represents the latest innovation from
Camlog Biotechnologies AG. A improved internal implant/abutment interface
(Fig.6) is ported to the existing Camlog SCREW-LINE implant geometry, thread
pattern, titanium grade 4 and Promote® surface treatment. The Tube-in-Tube internal
configuration of the Camlog system has been abandoned in favor of a
7.5 degree internal cone and the indexing feature was moved deeper in to the
implant. Platform switching is now a standard feature due to the improved
implant/abutment interface and the Promote® surface is now carried to
the implant/abutment platform without any machined collar.
Surgical
instrumentation is the same as the Camlog SCREW-LINE implant system.
Conelog® implants are not distributed in the USA.

more aggressive portion at the apical of the implant.

Four implant platform
diameters (Fig.8, implant/abutment interface diameter) of 3.3, 3.8, 4.3, 5.0mm in
five lengths of 7, 9, 11, 13 and 16mm (Fig.7) are produced for this implant
system with the exception of 3.3mm diameter implants which are not available
as a 7mm length implant. Each platform diameter is color coded for platform
diameter identification gray (3.3), yellow (3.8), red (4.3) and blue (5.0).
Although the implants themselves are not color coded, only the
implant packaging. Implants are packaged with a pre installed fixture mount
and cover screw, both color coded.
