Ankylos® C/X

Impression copings are designed to work in sequence with previously placed healing abutments and the planned or already placed prosthetic abutment type. Two fixture level (implant level) styles for regular and balance abutments and a abutment level impression coping for standard abutments comprise the impression coping selection for Ankylos® C/X implants.

Standard impression copings are utilized for already placed standard abutments. The color coded plastic impression copings snap over the installed abutment while engaging the three grooves machined in to the long axis of the abutment. A abutment level impression technique will pick up the impression coping in the impression material. Four different impression copings are available and chosen in regards to the abutment height (4mm, 6mm) and abutment diameter (3.3mm "A", 4.5mm "B").

Red impression copings (Fig.1, left, catalog # 31045011) are utilized for "A" type abutments with a 4mm abutment height and yellow impression copings (Fig.1, right, catalog # 31045021) are utilized for "A" type abutments with a abutment height of 6mm. Blue impression copings (Fig.2, left, catalog # 31045031) are utilized for "B" type abutments with a 4mm abutment height and green impression copings (Fig.2, right, catalog # 31045041) are utilized for "B" type abutments with a abutment height of 6mm.

Regular impression copings are utilized if the planned prosthetic abutment is of the regular type design. Fixture level impressions may be carried out with indirect impression (closed tray) or direct impression (open tray) specific impression copings. The direct impression coping is offered as a short (catalog # 31047020) and long (catalog # 31047022) version. The indirect impression coping (catalog # 31047030) can be identified by two large opposing flat sided machined in to the impression coping body. Impression copings are interchangeable from implant diameter to implant diameter since the implant/abutment interface of all Ankylos® implants is dimensioned to the same parameters regardless of the implant diameter. Regular impression copings are suitable only for Ankylos® X implants since the impression coping is indexed. Hand tighten with a 1mm hex driver.

Balance impression copings are utilized if the planned prosthetic abutment is of the balance type design. Fixture level impressions may be carried out with indirect impression (Fig.6, closed tray) or direct impression (Fig.5, open tray) specific impression copings. Impression copings are interchangeable from implant diameter to implant diameter since the implant/abutment interface of all Ankylos® implants is dimensioned to the same parameters regardless of implant diameter.

Balance impression copings are non indexed and may be used with indexed (Ankylos® X) and non indexed (Ankylos® C) implants. The direct impression coping is offered as a short (catalog # 31045410) and long (catalog # 31045412) version with separately purchased corresponding short (catalog # 31045400) or long (catalog # 31045402) screws. Indirect impression copings are produced in two emergence profiles (small catalog # 31045416, large catalog # 31045415) as a unibody design, combining the impression coping body and screw in to a singular entity. Hand tighten with a 1mm hex driver.

Frialit® plus

Color coded (3.4 gray, 3.8 yellow, 4.5 blue, 5.5 red and 6.5mm green) impression copings with two flat sides on the body are available as a three component kit for the direct and indirect impression technique. The three components consist of the impression coping body, fixation screw (long or short for direct or indirect impressions respectively) and a plastic cap to fit on top of the impression coping body. This plastic cap engages the two flat sides of the impression coping body through friction only and is meant to be captured and retained in the impression material. For direct impressions with the long fixation screw the top of the plastic cap needs to be punched out before the impression procedure to allow the long fixation screw to pass through the impression tray and the impression cap and coping. Although the plastic cap is part of the kit, it is not essential. The impression coping body itself is offered machined with a 3mm or 5mm collar to accommodate various tissue heights. Frialit® impression copings are compatible with corresponding platform diameter Xive® S implants. Hand tighten with a 1.22mm hex driver.

Xive® S

Color coded (3.0 brown, 3.4 gray, 3.8 yellow, 4.5 blue, and 5.5 red) impression copings with two flat sides on the body are available as a three component kit for the direct and indirect impression technique. Xive® TG

Only one platform diameter engaging impression coping for all three body diameter TG implants is needed and available as a indirect or a direct impression coping. The impression copings are silver in color and the fixation screw needs to be purchased separately for the impression coping body.
