Zimmer® ABUTMENTS
Tapered Screw-Vent® (TSV), Screw-Vent®
Fig. 1
Titanium contoured Hex-Lock® abutments are machined with a sloping collar
as straight (Fig.1) and angled (17°, Fig.2) versions. Both the angle and lowest point of
the slope coincide with a flat side of the indexing feature (hexagon) of
the abutment. None of the abutments are color coded or otherwise marked for
platform diameter identification. Abutment screws are trapped at will
inside the abutment due to engineering ingenuity and replaceable in case
of screw failure.
Fig. 2
Several collar heights are offered for all three
implant/abutment interface platform diameters (3.5, 4.5, 5.7mm). The listed
collar height is measured at the lowest point of the sloping collar. 3.5mm
platform abutments are produced with a 4.5mm emergence profile diameter and 4.5mm platform abutments are available
in two emergence profiles of 4.5 and 5.5mm while 5.7mm platform abutments
are fabricated with a emergence profile of 6.5mm. Straight abutments are
provided with a choice of three collar heights (1, 2, 3mm) and angled
abutments are available in two collar heights of 1 and 2mm. Each abutment
is packaged with a final fixation screw to make a complete kit.
Fig. 3
Short titanium Hex-Lock® abutments (Fig.3) are primarily intended for posterior
restorations. Abutments are machined with a non sloping collar and a collar
height choice of 1mm and 2mm for all three platform diameters (3.5,4.5,
5.7mm). The emergence profile expands one millimeter from the original
platform diameter and the abutment height from the intended margin for the
cementable restoration is 4mm regardless of platform diameter. Each
abutment is packaged with a final fixation screw to make a complete kit.
Abutment screws are trapped at will inside the abutment due to engineering
ingenuity and replaceable in case of screw failure.
Fig. 4
Bulk titanium abutments (Fig.4) are machined without collar and may require
extensive prepping. None of the abutments are color coded or otherwise
marked for platform diameter identification. Abutment screws are trapped
at will inside the abutment due to engineering ingenuity and replaceable
in case of screw failure. Angled bulk abutments are machined with a 20°
angle in relation to one of the flat sides of the indexing feature. 3.5mm
platform straight abutments are produced in three emergence profile
diameters (3.5, 4.5, 5.5mm) and 4.5mm platform abutments are also available
in three emergence profiles of 4.5, 5.5 and 6.5mm while 5.7mm platform
abutments are fabricated with a emergence profile of 6.5mm. Angled
abutments are fashioned with a emergence profile diameter 1mm larger than
the respective platform diameter. Each abutment is packaged with a final
fixation screw to make a complete kit.
Fig. 5
Zirconia contour abutments are machined with a sloping collar as
straight (Fig.5) and angled (17°, Fig.6) versions for two (3.5, 4.5mm) of the three
platform diameters. Both the angle and lowest point of the slope coincide
with a flat side of the indexing feature (hexagon) of the abutment. None of
the abutments are color coded or otherwise marked for platform diameter
identification. Two collar heights (1, 2mm) are offered for the two
implant/abutment interface platform diameters regardless of straight or
angled abutment. The listed collar height is measured at the mid point
between the lowest and highest point of the sloping collar. 3.5mm platform
straight abutments are produced with a single emergence profile diameter of
4.5mm and 4.5 platform diameter zirconia abutments are machined with a 5.5mm
emergence profile diameter.
Fig. 6
Angled 3.5mm platform abutments are produced
with a single emergence profile diameter of 5mm and 4.5 platform diameter
zirconia abutments are machined with a 6mm emergence profile diameter. Each
Zirconia abutment is produced with a bonded titanium seal ring at the
abutment/implant interface, making these stock zirconia abutments unsuitable
for bake on procedures. Each abutment is packaged with a final fixation
screw to make a complete kit.
Fig. 7
UCLA cast on abutments are fabricated with a machined gold
abutment/implant interface and a plastic tube processed on to the gold
portion of the UCLA. Indexed (hexed) UCLA's (Fig.7, top row) are available for all three
platform diameters (3.5, 4.5, 5.7mm) while non indexed UCLA's (Fig.7, bottom row) are only
offered for 3.5 and 4.5mm platform diameters. Each abutment is packaged
with a final fixation screw to make a complete kit.
AdVent
Titanium abutments are machined without collar and may require extensive
prepping. None of the abutments are color coded or otherwise marked for
platform diameter identification. Straight 4.5mm platform abutments are
available in two emergence profiles of 4.5 and 6.5mm while the 20 degree
angled abutment is machined with a emergence profile of 4.5mm. The
angulation of the angled abutment is machined in relation to one of the
flat sides of the indexing feature (hexagon). 5.7mm platform abutments
are borrowed from the Tapered Screw-Vent® (TSV), Screw-Vent®
5.7mm platform product line. Each abutment is packaged with a final
fixation screw to make a complete kit.
UCLA cast on abutments are fabricated with a machined gold
abutment/implant interface and a plastic tube processed on to the gold
portion of the UCLA. 5.7mm platform UCLA's are borrowed from the Tapered
Screw-Vent® (TSV), Screw-Vent® 5.7mm platform product line.
Neither 4.5 or 5.7mm platform UCLA's are offered as a non indexed version.
Each abutment is packaged with a final fixation screw to make a complete
kit.
Tapered SwissPlus®, SwissPlus®
Titanium abutments for 3.8mm, internal hexagon platform implants are
produced as a two piece component consisting of a separate screw and
abutment. 4.8mm internal octagon platform titanium abutments are offered as a
non engaging one piece construction and a two piece engaging design. Angled
abutments are available for both platforms and machined with a 20 degree
angle in relation to a flat side of the indexing feature.
UCLA cast on abutments are fabricated with a machined gold
abutment/implant interface and a plastic tube processed on to the gold
portion of the UCLA. Indexed (hexed) UCLA's are available for both
platform diameters (3.8, 4.8mm) while non indexed UCLA's are only
offered for 4.8mm platform diameters. Each abutment is packaged
with a final fixation screw to make a complete kit.
